What is Taekwondo?
Taekwondo (pronounced tie-kwan-doe) is a Korean martial art that emphasizes the building of both physical and mental strength. It is rigorous exercise that invites the mind into the workout.
The highest aim of Taekwondo is to foster the health of body and peace of mind which come from the balance and control of one's whole being.
Taekwondo literally means, ‘the way of hand and foot,' and is the most widely practiced martial art in the world today.

Taekwondo encourages students to develop and improve their own personal abilities. Each time a student masters a new technique, he or she learns to face challenges and overcome obstacles.

People who are active in Taekwondo training regularly release tension due to stress and are thus more resilient to the adverse effects of stress on mental health.

How do you get started?
Free introductory lessons in Taekwondo are offered every month. These introductory lessons teach the student basic moves in Taekwondo. After students complete the introductory lessons they are ready to join the regular classes.

What are the costs?
Long term Taekwondo training is an investment in quality of life. Classes may be paid for in monthly payments. There are no initiation fees. Special rates are given to families.
Continuous - $54.50 per month (12 month minimum)
3 month paid in full - $64.50 per month
1 month paid in full - $69.50 per month.
Call for more information on the family discount rate.
Uniforms are available for purchase from the school; please ask your instructor.

Head Instructor and Proprietor
Classes are taught by Mr. Peter Wahlstrom, 4th degree Black Belt, certified by the Kukkiwon in Seoul, South Korea, with over 15 years of Taekwondo teaching experience.
He also holds a Master's degree in Classical Studies and teaches college courses in Philosophy and Ethics.
Mr. Wahlstrom's patient and effective teaching style has helped students of all ages succeed in Taekwondo and other areas of their lives.
He is especially proud of his many students who have competed in local and national tournaments.
